Seventeen months ago, we launched DRNK with a vision to revolutionize hydration and challenge the dominance of single-use plastic bottles. Today, we’re proud to reflect on our journey and share where we’re headed next.

Corporate Collaborations with Purpose

One of our most rewarding achievements has been our partnerships with esteemed brands like Future Frontier, Caterpillar, and Güntner. These collaborations have allowed us to create custom reusable bottles and have expanded our reach, converting more people to the reusable water bottle movement. Every bottle we create replaces countless single-use plastics, taking us closer to our mission: to build a more sustainable future, one sip at a time.

A Milestone Moment: Shark Tank Dubai

Our mission received a huge boost when we appeared on Shark Tank Dubai, season 2. Securing a deal was not just a financial win but a validation of our vision and potential. The experience sharpened our focus and opened doors to new opportunities, accelerating our growth and amplifying our impact.

Limited Edition Highlights

Our limited-edition bottles have captured hearts nationwide. The Palestine Series sold out faster than we anticipated. Meanwhile, the UNITY Series has been a consistent bestseller, resonating deeply with our customers. As we approach the holiday season, we’re having some fun designing our upcoming Christmas Series— and we couldn’t be more excited to share them with you.

The Bubblebottle: A splash of fun

This year, we embarked on an exciting new chapter: creating a product specifically for kids. Enter the Bubblebottle—our upcoming kids’ range designed for playfulness and practicality. During development, we explored various materials, eventually falling in love with silicone. Why? It is durable, heat resistant, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, free from harmful chemicals like BPA and phthalates and contains inherent antibacterial properties. Studies have shown that silicone can resist bacterial growth, especially when treated with surface modifications, offering long-lasting hygiene benefits in various environments making it the ideal material for children’s bottles​. We can’t wait to see these bottles in little hands everywhere.

CHAPTER 1

Mishal and I both lay claim to the right side of the bed and can’t seem to agree on thermostat settings, but we are united in our commitment to fighting single-use plastic consumption. We want to leave a better world for our children, and for that, changes need to be made.

We are deeply concerned about how single-use plastics are filling our landfills, polluting our oceans, and killing wildlife. Humans use about 1.2 million plastic bottles per minute, and every second of every day, 1,500 single-use bottles are thrown away.

It takes up to 450 years for a single-use plastic bottle to fragment, so virtually every plastic bottle ever made still exists in some form.

We celebrated when the UAE banned plastic shopping bags, but we know there is much more to be done to reduce our dependence on single-use plastics.

We solved the problem through design

One reason people prefer disposable water bottles is to avoid carrying an extra item throughout the day. A slim water bottle that fits neatly inside their bags could address this issue.

We understand that most handbags and laptop bags are rectangular, and cylindrical water bottles that waste space and create a misshapen bulge are often a deal-breaker.

That’s why we’ve reimagined the water bottle. DRNK bottles are designed to fit seamlessly inside handbags, laptop bags, and even diaper bags, making them easy to carry everywhere.

We want to be better than the rest. 

We are not the first to produce flat water bottles; others have ventured into this market before us. However, we’ve identified issues with all the products currently available. Some are made from low-grade plastics that may be harmful to human health, while others are unreasonably expensive.

We also have reservations about the existing designs. Some are excessively bright or showy to the point of being tasteless, while others have significant design flaws. For example, placing the spout on the edge of a flat bottle makes it more difficult to drink from.

DRNK needed to be different.

We experimented with various materials, shapes, and forms before creating a minimalist design that truly reflects our brand ethos.

Our stylish Tritan bottle combines functionality with fashion. It is made from transparent, BPA-, BPS-, and BPF-free food-grade plastic using injection molding technology, ensuring safety, leak-proof performance, and a flawless finish.

Each bottle comes with a bespoke fabric sleeve that protects it from scratches and provides thermal insulation to keep your water cold for longer.

The Steel bottle is crafted from sustainable materials with a minimalist flat-edge design. It features a beautiful food-grade stainless steel body, covered with a satin-touch, powder-coated matte finish. The precision-milled, leak-proof cap is attached with a latex connector, preventing loss and enhancing portability. Our logo is laser-etched, in line with our design philosophy.

With a depth of 2.8 cm, it is designed to be the slimmest steel water bottle in the world.

Through our partnership with Ecologi, we plant one tree for every bottle sold.
